These strikingly beautiful wading birds are often seen hanging around wetlands, marshes, and intertidal zones. Despite the name, roseate spoonbills aren't always the same shade of pink! The colors can range from a light pink, through to a deep magenta, all depending on the age of the bird, the season (breeding vs. not), and the location.
